10 Things Teenage Writers Should Know.

I’m a teenager myself and this was a huge wake up call. Really inspiring, hope it helps other writers out there.

Random Thought Number 1255

All I think about for the past few days was Greece. Damn, that country is full of sun and happiness. Its sunkissed beaches and white washed houses are what draws me to that place. I’m imagining myself skinny dipping, having a drink of lemonade while reading a book from one of its island. Santorini, I suppose, and there’s also a bookshop which sells old boooks. It would be perfect for visiting. I’m also thinking of Greek Mythology, their language and of course their food. I watched every travel show that features Greece. I want to check out their market. This would more than just be a vacation but a learning process as well. If I have the chance to go there. I promise to love and take care of this place. Sunsets would be most beautiful if I were in Greece. Wishful thinking.. ;-)

Random Thought Number 799

I love sitting on benches and just stare straight ahead of me. I see people, vehicles, trees, buildings, trash cans, or just about anything. It leads to a lot of thinking and sometimes staring blankly and causes me to frustrate other people. I sometimes feel like a jerk, pushing people away from me when I know they’re the ones that really stays for a long time. I never intended to say or do such things. I know apologies are not enough, but I can’t help myself. Giving more time to be alone means less people to be hurt right?

… And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, “O me! O life!… of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless… of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?” Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?
